Illinois High School Basketball - Normal Community toppled by Washington

Washington Panthers (Washington, IL) fans went home pleased Monday as they observed their basketball team knock off the visiting Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL), 61-43 in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers (17-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Ottawa (Ottawa, IL). The Pirates come into the non-league challenge with a 12-3 record. In their last challenge, Ottawa prevailed over Morris (Morris, IL), 59-39, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Ironmen battle the Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 3. Normal Community will attempt to improve on its 13-2 season record. The Maroons come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 55-42 non-league loss to Pecatonica (Pecatonica, IL).
