North Carolina High School Basketball - Tuscola crushes Owen

The Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC), 68-42 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Mountaineers now possess a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to North Henderson for a 3A Mountain 7 bout on Friday, January 3. Tuscola will play a Knights team coming off a 68-39 non-league loss to Erwin (Asheville, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-10.

With the loss, Owen falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Warhorses host Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC) to play the Cougars in a 1A/2A Western Highlands bout on Friday, January 3. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Mountain Heritage won 42-29 in their recent non-league bout against Travelers Rest (Travelers Rest, SC)
