With the victory, Westside upgrades its record to 4-4 on the year. The Seminoles host Morgan County (Madison, GA) to face the Bulldogs in a AA Region 2 match on Friday, January 3. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 6-9. Morgan County lost 50-34 in their recent non-league match against Newton (Covington, GA)

The Hurricanes now sport a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jackson for a AA Region 2 match on Friday, January 3. Rutland will face a Red Devils squad coming off a 62-26 non-league loss to Academy for Classical Education (Macon, GA). The Red Devils record now stands at 3-9.
