The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Ridgefield Tigers (Ridgefield, CT) and the host Xavier Falcons (Middletown, CT), witnessed Ridgefield's ice hockey team nip Xavier by a final score of 4-3.

The Tigers (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Joseph (Trumbull, CT). The Cadets come into the FCIAC challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, St. Joseph was nipped by Pilgrim (Warwick, RI), 8-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Falcons face the Bishop Hendricken Hawks (Warwick, RI) in a non-league test, on Sunday, January 5. Xavier will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Hawks come into the test with a 1-3 record after their 6-3 non-league loss to New Canaan (New Canaan, CT).
