In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Churchill County Greenwave basketball team scored a close 50-44 win over the Galena Grizzlies.
The Greenwave (9-4) will now prepare for their contest against Elko (Elko, NV). The Indians come into the contest with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Grizzlies battle the Spanish Springs Cougars (Sparks, NV) in a contest, on Friday, January 3. Galena will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 11-1 record after their 66-42 non-league win over Damonte Ranch (Reno, NV).
