In Monday's non-league test, the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) basketball squad knocked off the host Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC), by a score of 38-22.

Next, the Warhorses encounter the Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 3. Owen will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 0-5 record after their 43-28 non-league loss to West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC).

The Mountaineers (1-5) will now prepare for their test against North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Knights come into the non-league test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, North Henderson was knocked off by Loveland (Loveland, OH), 44-40, in a non-league test.
