Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs (Peoria, AZ) and the host Independence Patriots (Glendale, AZ), saw Sunrise Mountain's soccer squad knock off Independence by a count of 2-0.

The Mustangs (8-2) will now prepare for their battle against Horizon (Scottsdale, AZ). The Huskies enter the non-league battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Horizon tipped Glendale (Glendale, AZ), 6-5, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Patriots battle the Apollo Hawks (Glendale, AZ) in a non-league battle, on Monday, January 13. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record.
