Anacortes Seahawks (Anacortes, WA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA), 85-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Anacortes upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Seahawks host Lakewood (Arlington, WA) to play the Cougars in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Lakewood lost 61-58 in their recent non-league bout against West Valley (Yakima, WA)

Next up, the Mountaineers play the Lynden Christian Lyncs (Lynden, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Mt. Baker will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record.
