Burlington Seahorses (Burlington, VT) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Colchester Lakers (Colchester, VT), 45-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Burlington upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Seahorses travel to Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT) to play the Cougars in a Metro bout on Monday, January 2. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 1-3. Mt. Mansfield lost 42-41 in their recent league bout against North Country Union (Newport, VT)

Next up, the Lakers play the St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT) in a Metro bout, on Monday, January 2. Colchester will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Hilltoppers come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 55-50 league loss to Champlain Valley Union (Hinesburg, VT).
