Harlingen South Hawks (Harlingen, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lopez Lobos (Brownsville, TX), 52-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Harlingen South upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Hawks host Donna (Donna, TX) to play the Redskins in a 5A Region IV District 32 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Redskins come into the bout with a record of 2-10.

Next up, the Lobos play the Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Lopez will attempt to upgrade on its 15-5 season record.
