Arizona High School Soccer - La Joya Community nudges Independence

La Joya Community Fighting Lobos (Avondale, AZ) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Independence Patriots (Glendale, AZ), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Fighting Lobos confront the West Point Dragons (Avondale, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. La Joya Community will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Dragons enter the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 5-2 non-league loss to Cesar Chavez (Laveen, AZ).
The Patriots now have a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Desert Edge for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 4. Independence will confront a Scorpions team coming off a 1-1 non-league Arizona College Prep (Chandler, AZ). The Scorpions record now stands at 9-2.
