Texas High School Basketball - Ponder overwhelms Valley View

The Ponder Lions basketball team scored 61 points and limited the host Valley View Eagles to 35 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now possess a 13-9 record. They play next when they host Paradise for a 3A Region II District 10 game on Friday, January 3. Ponder will confront a Panthers team coming off a 59-40 league win over Callisburg (Gainesville, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 15-5.

With the loss, Valley View falls to 10-10 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Pilot Point (Pilot Point, TX) to confront the Bearcats in a 3A Region II District 10 game on Friday, January 3. The Bearcats go into the game with a record of 4-7. Pilot Point lost 59-40 in their recent league game against Whitesboro (Whitesboro, TX)
