Next, the Mustangs clash with the Iowa Park Hawks (Iowa Park, TX) in a 3A Region I District 7 outing, on Friday, January 3. City View will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Hawks come into the outing with a 7-11 record after their 36-30 league loss to Jacksboro (Jacksboro, TX).

The Jackrabbits (16-7) will now prepare for their outing against Holliday (Holliday, TX). The Eagles go into the 3A Region I District 7 contest with a 6-13 record. In their last contest, Holliday topped Henrietta (Henrietta, TX), 43-37, in a league contest.
