Texas High School Basketball - Jefferson overwhelmed by Highlands

In Tuesday's league test, the Highlands Owls (San Antonio, TX) basketball squad trounced the host Jefferson Mustangs (San Antonio, TX), by a score of 52-24.

Next, the Owls encounter the Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 27 test, on Friday, January 3. Highlands will attempt to improve on its 12-14 season record. The Matadors come into the test with a 12-14 record after their 39-35 league win over Edison (San Antonio, TX).

The Mustangs (11-16) will now prepare for their test against Burbank (San Antonio, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 5A Region IV District 27 test with a 13-11 record. In their last test, Burbank bounced Lanier (San Antonio, TX), 75-41, in a league test.
