Forrest City Mustangs (Forrest City, AR) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Blytheville Chickasaws (Blytheville, AR), 80-62 in a league bout.

With the win, Forrest City upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Mustangs travel to The New School (Fayetteville, AR) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 13-1. The New School won 65-25 in their recent league bout against Thaden (Bentonville, AR)

Next up, the Chickasaws clash with the Brookland Bearcats (Brookland, AR) in a 4A Region 3 bout, on Thursday, December 7. Blytheville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 72-27 league win over Wynne (Wynne, AR).
