Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA), 55-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Carroll County upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Fort Chiswell won 66-48 in their recent non-league bout against Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Grayson County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 71-40 non-league loss to Surry Central (Dobson, NC).
