Fairland Owls (Fairland, OK) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Oklahoma Union Cougars (South Coffeyville, OK), 63-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fairland upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Owls host Watts (Watts, OK) to clash with the Engineers in a non-league bout on Monday, December 11. The Engineers go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Watts won 59-44 in their recent non-league bout against Welch (Welch, OK)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Oologah Mustangs (Oologah, OK) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Oklahoma Union will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 54-49 league loss to Vinita (Vinita, OK).
