Northwest Webster Cougars (Manson, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host South Central Calhoun Titans (Lake City, IA), 61-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northwest Webster upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA) to clash with the Rebels in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Sioux Central lost 58-50 in their recent league challenge against Alta-Aurelia (Alta, IA)

Next up, the Titans confront the Webster City Lynx (Webster City, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. South Central Calhoun will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Lynx come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 58-53 non-league loss to Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA).
