Southside Panthers (Gadsden, AL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Talladega Tigers (Talladega, AL), 61-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southside upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Panthers travel to Fort Payne (Fort Payne, AL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 8-0. Fort Payne won 67-44 in their recent non-league bout against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, AL)

Next up, the Tigers play the Etowah Blue Devils (Attalla, AL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Talladega will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 50-34 non-league loss to Leeds (Leeds, AL).
