New York High School Basketball - Taft can't hold off Walton

The Walton Wildcats basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Taft Golden Eagles to 45 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Monday.
The Wildcats now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Roosevelt Educational for a PSAL AAA Bronx contest on Monday, December 11. Walton will battle a Roughriders team coming off a 93-84 league loss to Tuitt (Bronx, NY). The Roughriders record now stands at 1-2.
The Golden Eagles (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Gompers (Bronx, NY). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Gompers was nudged by DeWitt Clinton (Bronx, NY), 95-56, in a non-league contest.
