Altamont Indians (Altamont, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host St. Anthony Bulldogs (Effingham, IL), 78-67 in a league bout.

With the victory, Altamont upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Indians host Nokomis (Nokomis, IL) to play the Redskins in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Redskins come into the bout with a record of 6-1. Nokomis won 47-27 in their recent non-league bout against Ramsey (Ramsey, IL)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats (Cowden, IL) in a National Trail bout, on Thursday, December 7. St. Anthony will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Bobcats come into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 54-38 non-league loss to St. Teresa (Decatur, IL).
