Virginia High School Basketball - Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech topped by Sussex Central

The Sussex Central Tigers basketball team scored 31 points and restricted the host Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech Dragons to 23 in the Tigers league victory on Monday.

The Tigers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin for a Tri-Rivers contest on Wednesday, December 6. Sussex Central will battle a Broncos team coming off a 48-36 league win over Southampton (Courtland, VA). The Broncos record now stands at 1-2.

The Dragons (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Carver College and Career Academy (Chester, VA). The Wolverines come into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Carver College and Career Academy prevailed over Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech (Petersburg, VA), 28-12, in a non-league contest.
