Monument Academy Lynx (Monument, CO) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Liberty Tree Academy War Eagles (Peyton, CO), 16-13 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monument Academy upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Lynx host Fountain Valley (Colorado Springs, CO) to play the Danes in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Danes go into the bout with a record of 3-1.

Next up, the War Eagles play the Fountain Valley Danes (Colorado Springs, CO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Liberty Tree Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Danes go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 38-17 non-league loss to Thomas MacLaren School (Colorado Springs, CO).
