Illinois High School Basketball - Litchfield can't hold off Riverton

The Riverton Hawks basketball team scored 29 points and held the host Litchfield Purple Panthers to 26 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Monday.
The Hawks now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Pulaski for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. Riverton will battle a Hilltoppers team coming off a 56-25 league win over Midwest Central/Delavan (Manito, IL). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 5-2.
The Purple Panthers (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Vandalia (Vandalia, IL). The Vandals enter the South Central contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Vandalia nudged Flora (Flora, IL), 59-26, in a non-league contest.
