In Wednesday's league contest, the host Luis Valdez Leadership Academy Lions basketball team scored a good 42-28 win over the Cindy Avitia Jaguars.
The Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Eastside College Prep (East Palo Alto, CA). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Eastside College Prep defeated Design Tech (Redwood City, CA), 47-35, in a non-league contest.

Cindy Avitia will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Tigers come into the contest with a 0-4 record after their 61-20 non-league loss to University Prep Academy (San Jose, CA).
