In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting James River Knights basketball team scored a good 60-42 triumph over the Waynesboro Little Giants.
The Knights (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Heritage (Lynchburg, VA). The Pioneers go into the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Heritage was topped by Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA), 50-47, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Little Giants battle the Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 6. Waynesboro will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
