The Holmes Aces basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Camden County Bruins to 52 in the Aces non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Aces now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Gates County for a non-league game on Friday, December 6. Holmes will confront a Red Barons team coming off a 56-35 non-league loss to Manteo (Manteo, NC). The Red Barons record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Camden County falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Perquimans (Hertford, NC) to confront the Pirates in a non-league game on Friday, December 6. The Pirates go into the game with a record of 2-0. Perquimans won 61-50 in their recent non-league game against Holmes (Edenton, NC)
