The Denbigh Patriots basketball squad (Newport News, VA), was crushed 59-25 in Thursday's league battle with the host Bethel Bruins (Hampton, VA)
With the victory, Bethel advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Bruins travel to Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 6. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Nansemond River won 73-53 in their recent league challenge against Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA)
The Patriots now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hampton for a Peninsula match on Thursday, December 11. Denbigh will meet a Crabbers squad coming off a 69-23 league win over Woodside (Newport News, VA). The Crabbers record now stands at 1-0.
