The McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN) basketball crushed the host Sequoyah Chiefs (Madisonville, TN), 75-34 in Monday's non-league test.
The Cherokees (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN). The Owls go into the 4A District 5 test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Ooltewah was trounced by Chattanooga Central (Harrison, TN), 71-41, in a non-league test.
The Chiefs now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Sweetwater for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 6. Sequoyah will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 75-66 non-league loss to Austin-East (Knoxville, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-1.
