The Pleasant Grove Spartans basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Parker Thundering Herd to 51 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Monday.

The Spartans now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hueytown for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 8.

The Thundering Herd (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Woodlawn (Birmingham, AL). The Colonels enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Woodlawn was nudged by Paul W. Bryant (Cottondale, AL), 65-30, in a non-league contest.
