Oxnard Yellowjackets (Oxnard, CA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA), 53-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Oxnard upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Moorpark (Moorpark, CA) to play the Musketeers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Musketeers come into the bout with a record of 10-1. Moorpark won 65-45 in their recent non-league bout against Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, CA)

Next up, the Royals play the San Luis Obispo Tigers (San Luis Obispo, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 7. San Marcos will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 41-26 non-league win over Paso Robles (Paso Robles, CA).
