Catskill Cats (Catskill, NY) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Greenville Spartans (Greenville, NY), 49-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Catskill upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Cats travel to Hudson (Hudson, NY) to play the Blue Hawks in a Section 2 Patroon bout on Friday, December 9. The Blue Hawks come into the bout with a record of 0-2. Hudson lost 39-36 in their recent league bout against Taconic Hills (Craryville, NY)

Next up, the Spartans play the Cairo-Durham Mustangs (Cairo, NY) in a Section 2 Patroon bout, on Friday, December 9. Greenville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
