The Watersmeet Nimrods basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Jeffers Jets to 37 in the Nimrods non-league triumph on Monday.

The Nimrods now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Johnston for a Freelance contest on Thursday, December 8. Watersmeet will battle a Speedboys team coming off a 45-18 non-league loss to Ontonagon (Ontonagon, MI). The Speedboys record now stands at 0-3.

With the defeat, Jeffers moves to 1-2 on the year. The Jets host Baraga (Baraga, MI) to meet the Vikings in a Copper Mountain match on Tuesday, December 6. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 1-0. Baraga won 42-38 in their recent non-league match against Ontonagon (Ontonagon, MI)
