The Johnston City Indians basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Sesser-Valier/Waltonville Red Devils to 23 in the Indians league victory on Monday.

The Indians now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Frankfort for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 8. Johnston City will battle a Redbirds team coming off a 64-24 league loss to Benton (Benton, IL). The Redbirds record now stands at 1-8.

The Red Devils (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Christopher (Christopher, IL). The Bearcats come into the Black Diamond - West contest with a 8-0 record. In their last contest, Christopher triumphed over Cobden (Cobden, IL), 90-21, in a non-league contest.
