The Mt. Carmel Golden Aces basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Lawrenceville Indians to 26 in the Golden Aces league victory on Monday.

The Golden Aces now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edwards County for a non-league bout on Thursday, December 8. Mt. Carmel will play a Lions squad coming off a 56-41 non-league loss to Newton (Newton, IL). The Lions record now stands at 5-2.

Next up, the Indians play the Marshall Lions (Marshall, IL) in a Little Illini bout, on Thursday, December 8. Lawrenceville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 48-40 league loss to Paris (Paris, IL).
