Arizona High School Basketball - Valley Union knocked off by Morenci

December 5, 2022: Morenci, AZ 85540

The Morenci Wildcats basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Valley Union Blue Devils to 40 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Monday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Willcox for a 2A East contest on Thursday, December 8. Morenci will meet a Cowboys team coming off a 53-22 non-league win over Patagonia (Patagonia, AZ). The Cowboys record now stands at 4-1.

The Blue Devils (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against St. Augustine Catholic (Tucson, AZ). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, St. Augustine Catholic was defeated by Bisbee (Bisbee, AZ), 72-36, in a non-league contest.
