North Carolina High School Basketball - Piedmont Community Charter knocked off by Thomas Jefferson

The Thomas Jefferson Gryphons basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Piedmont Community Charter Patriots to 34 in the Gryphons non-league triumph on Monday.

The Gryphons now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Asheville for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 7. Thomas Jefferson will battle a Cougars team coming off a 64-52 non-league win over Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Rabun Gap, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-0.

The Patriots (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Highland Tech ran past Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC), 48-28, in a non-league contest.
