Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA), 46-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Louisa County upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Culpeper County (Culpeper, VA) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 1-2.

Next up, the Lancers play the Waynesboro Little Giants (Waynesboro, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Amherst County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Little Giants come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 42-28 non-league loss to Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA).
