Archbishop Hannan Hawks (Covington, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Picayune Maroon Tide (Picayune, MS), 40-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Archbishop Hannan upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Hawks travel to Kennedy (New Orleans, LA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 4-3.

Next up, the Maroon Tide play the West Harrison Hurricanes (Gulfport, MS) in a 6A Region 4 bout, on Friday, December 8. Picayune will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record.
