Augusta Red Devils (Augusta, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Guy-Perkins Thunderbirds (Guy, AR), 63-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Augusta upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Red Devils travel to Bradford (Bradford, AR) to clash with the Eagles in a 1A Region 5 bout on Friday, December 8. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Bradford won 70-42 in their recent league bout against Scott Charter (Scott, AR)

Next up, the Thunderbirds clash with the St. Joseph Bulldogs (Conway, AR) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Guy-Perkins will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 61-40 league loss to Bigelow (Bigelow, AR).
