Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL), 61-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Aurora East upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Tomcats host Naperville North (Naperville, IL) to play the Huskies in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 16. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 4-4.

Next up, the Maroons play the Streamwood Sabres (Streamwood, IL) in a Upstate Eight bout, on Friday, December 8. Elgin will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
