Buffalo Island Central Mustangs (Monette, AR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Marmaduke Greyhounds (Marmaduke, AR), 70-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Buffalo Island Central upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR) to play the Warriors in a 2A Region 3 bout on Friday, December 8. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 1-0. East Poinsett County won 55-46 in their recent league bout against Earle (Earle, AR)

Next up, the Greyhounds play the Earle Bulldogs (Earle, AR) in a 2A Region 3 bout, on Thursday, December 7. Marmaduke will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 55-46 league loss to East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR).
