Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Byers Lions (Holly Springs, MS) and the visiting Falkner Eagles (Falkner, MS), saw Byers's basketball squad wallop Falkner by a count of 66-34.

With the victory, Byers upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Pine Grove (Ripley, MS) to play the Panthers in a 1A Region 2 challenge on Friday, December 8. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Pine Grove won 70-35 in their recent league challenge against Jumpertown (Booneville, MS)

Next up, the Eagles play the Blue Mountain Cougars (Blue Mountain, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 7. Falkner will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 52-45 non-league loss to North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS).
