Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians (Carlyle, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, IL), 45-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Carlyle upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Indians/Lady Indians travel to Sparta (Sparta, IL) to confront the Bulldogs in a Cahokia - Illinois challenge on Friday, December 8. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Sparta won 67-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Valmeyer (Valmeyer, IL)

Next up, the Yellowjackets confront the Nashville Hornets (Nashville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Chester will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 74-61 non-league win over Cahokia (Cahokia, IL).
