Laurel Panthers (West Harrison, IN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Community Christian Eagles (Connersville, IN), 54-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Laurel upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Seven Oaks Classical (Ellettsville, IN) to play the Firehawks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Firehawks come into the bout with a record of 0-5. Seven Oaks Classical lost 50-45 in their recent non-league bout against Washington Catholic (Washington, IN)

Next up, the Eagles play the King's Academy (Jonesboro, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Community Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
