The Izard County Cougars basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Marshall Bobcats to 63 in the Cougars league victory on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highland for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 7. Izard County will battle a Rebels team coming off a 58-38 league win over Pocahontas (Pocahontas, AR). The Rebels record now stands at 5-1.

The Bobcats (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against White County Central (Judsonia, AR). The Bears come into the 2A Region 2 contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, White County Central was nudged by Mt. Vernon-Enola (Mt. Vernon, AR), 68-56, in a league contest.
