Manteno Panthers (Manteno, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL), 45-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Manteno upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Panthers host Iroquois West (Gilman, IL) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 6. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Iroquois West won 62-24 in their recent non-league bout against Tri-Point (Cullom, IL)

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Herscher Tigers (Herscher, IL) in a Illinois Central 8 game, on Friday, December 8. Wilmington will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 1-5 record after their 48-28 league loss to Lisle (Lisle, IL).
