Menchville Monarchs (Newport News, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Warwick Raiders (Newport News, VA), 66-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Menchville upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Monarchs travel to Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA) to clash with the Warriors in a Peninsula bout on Thursday, December 7. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Kecoughtan lost 71-63 in their recent league bout against Hampton (Hampton, VA)

Next up, the Raiders clash with the Gloucester Dukes (Gloucester, VA) in a Peninsula bout, on Thursday, December 7. Warwick will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Dukes go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 63-48 league loss to Denbigh (Newport News, VA).
