South Shore Cardinals (Port Wing, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mercer Tigers (Mercer, WI), 42-29 in a league bout.

With the win, South Shore upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Cardinals host Solon Springs (Solon Springs, WI) to clash with the Eagles in a Northern Lights bout on Monday, December 11. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Solon Springs won 85-33 in their recent league bout against Bayfield (Bayfield, WI)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Washburn Castle Guards (Washburn, WI) in a Northern Lights bout, on Friday, December 8. Mercer will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Castle Guards go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 82-32 league win over Mellen (Mellen, WI).
