San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA), 68-47 in a league bout.

With the win, San Marcos upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Royals host Chaminade (West Hills, CA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-1. Chaminade won 59-52 in their recent non-league bout against Ventura (Ventura, CA)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Dos Pueblos Chargers (Goleta, CA) in a Channel bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Rio Mesa will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 51-41 league loss to Ventura (Ventura, CA).
